We take pride in offering high-quality firewood that is ready to burn as soon as we deliver your order. Our mixture of hardwoods includes cherry, hickory, maple, red/white oak, poplar, locust, and ash. Our standard cut measures 16" with 10% or less may be longer or shorter. The diameter of each piece will vary from 1-7". We estimate in each delivery that you can expect 60% of the wood logs to be 5-7" in diameter, 30% to be 2-5", and 10% to be 1-3" in diameter.
We ensure that our firewood is kiln-dried to a moisture content of 10-20%. We source premium firewood split to specific dimensions and then baked at 270 degrees for 36 hours in a kiln to ensure a hassle-free firewood experience! If you are not satisfied, we will fully refund your order and you can keep the wood!
Over the years we have tried many different firewood providers. Better Burn Firewood is so superior to all that it shouldn't even be listed in the same category. The wood is perfect--dry, well-cut, fragrant, easy to start and slow to burn. Hands down the best quality firewood we have ever used in the last 50 years or so. The customer service is an art unto itself. My last firewood provider was very expensive, inflexible and non-responsive. He looked for opportunities to overcharge me. He claimed, for example that because there were a few little steps to get onto my porch, I should pay 1/3 more than the rest of the clients. Better Burn could not be more caring, responsive and gracious. The minute I put in my order, the wood arrives in 1-2 days, even during holidays. The team is fast, efficient and unobtrusive in stacking the wood on my front porch. There is always something extra that I didn't pay for--a few extra logs and/or quality kindling. After the delivery, the owner immediately follows up, asking if I was satisfied with the delivery and what I thought of the quality of wood. He is gracious, humble, professional, flexible and displays genuine care for each customer. And in spite of the superiority of the product and their customer service, the business keeps prices very modest. I will never use another provider.
Amazing service. They were having issues with their delivery software on the day my order was to be delivered, but after a quick email to them, my wood was dropped off that evening even though it was after hours and I said it was perfectly fine for delivery the next day. I was told making their deliveries on time, day of was a priority of theirs and so it was personally delivered at 7:30 pm that day. The quality of wood was excellent, was given around 30 pieces above what my order called for and a free box of kindling on top. Highly recommended. Plan on ordering again from Better Burn in the Fall.
