Kiln-dried oak offers extremely easy to light firewood packed with a very high BTU rating. This product is geared towards the customer who wants the kiln-dried experience but is also trying to maximize heat output of the fire. A reliable wood for any occasion, our kiln-dried oak is great for a long, slow burn with very little smoke and lots of heat.
We take pride in offering high-quality firewood that is ready to burn right out of the box. Our standard cut measures 16" with 10% or less may be longer or shorter. The diameter of each piece will vary from 1-7". We estimate in each delivery that you can expect 60% of the wood logs to be 5-7" in diameter, 30% to be 2-5", and 10% to be 1-3" in diameter.
We ensure that our firewood is kiln-dried to a moisture content of 10-20%. We source premium firewood split to specific dimensions and then baked at 270 degrees for 36 hours in a kiln to ensure a hassle-free firewood experience! If you are not satisfied, we will fully refund your order and you can keep the wood!

I found Better Burn Firewood by conducting a bit of research for local (Springfield, VA) firewood suppliers. Without a doubt, Better Burn had the most informative website, which made my choice to use Better Burn so much easier. I purchased a cord of kiln dried oak, which filled up both of my ½ cord wood racks. There were even leftovers, which ended up being stacked in my garage for easy access. The price was very competitive and provided great value.
The main thing I noticed over other providers I have used is the wood was good, solid pieces. I get hot, long burning fires that develop into a red-hot coal bed, which puts some serious heat into the room. I find that I am using less wood while getting more heat, longer fires, and more enjoyment from my fireplace. Big time thanks to Travis and team for their excellent product and service.
