Kiln-dried oak offers extremely easy to light firewood packed with a very high BTU rating. This product is geared towards the customer who wants the kiln-dried experience but is also trying to maximize heat output of the fire. A reliable wood for any occasion, our kiln-dried oak is great for a long, slow burn with very little smoke and lots of heat.
We take pride in offering high-quality firewood that is ready to burn right out of the box. Our standard cut measures 16" with 10% or less may be longer or shorter. The diameter of each piece will vary from 1-7". We estimate in each delivery that you can expect 60% of the wood logs to be 5-7" in diameter, 30% to be 2-5", and 10% to be 1-3" in diameter.
We ensure that our firewood is kiln-dried to a moisture content of 10-20%. We source premium firewood split to specific dimensions and then baked at 270 degrees for 36 hours in a kiln to ensure a hassle-free firewood experience! Years ago I would order as much as a cord of 'seasoned' wood at a time which required outside storage and lengthy aging because the wood was never ready to burn. Second-year wood burned great, but by then the bugs and mice had set up shop making it a problem to bring into the house. Better Burn's firewood is clean and bug free such that storage in my garage is feasible which beats the heck out of hauling wood from the back yard. The delivery service is top notch, fast and reliable, and now I can buy just what I need when I need it. Highly recommended.
